Coordinate the activities of its Parastatals and other Departments namely, Jigawa State Sports Council, History & Culture Bureau, Jigawa State Broadcasting Corporation, Jigawa State Printing Press and the Jigawa people’s congress (JSPC).
Being the Chief image maker of Government, it is to keep people adequately informed about the decisions and policies of Government in a timely and comprehensive manner so as to bridge the gap between government and its people.
Support the plans of Government through the provision of adequate information and help people understand government and its activities through the media and other communications Machinery.
Embracing and enhancing new media technologies by improving the content and depth of programming to communicate important messages to people, other Nigerians and the World over.
Informing the Government and other general public on the act of governance, source and provide an enabling environment for the collection of authentic and authoritative Data on the direction of Government.
Collate, articulate and disseminate information about Jigawa, its people, culture and tradition, religion, and activities in all tiers of Government.
Goals
To pursue the development and application of communication tools;
To establish an effective and efficient information gathering, dissemination and response mechanism, for the attainment of stability and positioning the Ministry’s programmes towards enlightening the people on its corporate existence and interest.
Develop and manage the state Web portal, ensuring that the information contained is well presented, up-to-date and meets demand from government, general public and Web users.
