Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Tahir, mni

Born in August of 1959 in Hadejia town, the new Head of state Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Tahir, mni is a graduate of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies Kuru, Jos having been its member in 2009 during which he presented a paper titled: "The effect of financial crisis and the Nigerian Economy", in partial fulfillment of the award of the National Institute, mni.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree on International Studies from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1982 and after his service year with the Ministry of Education in Ondo State began his working career as an Administrative Officer II with then Kano State Government in 1983.

Alhaji Inuwa Tahir, mni, rose through the ranks over the years to become a permanent Secretary in 2007 a position he held until his new appointment in October.

From 1983, the new Head of Service attended courses and workshops on capacity building and also presented papers on various issues in relation to effective service delivery, and security among others and served on various Boards, Committees and Task forces from the old Kano state to present Jigawa state.

To his credit, the new Head of service chaired the committees on the establishment of the state Manpower Development Institute, the state steering committee on formation year programme (FYP) Jigawa state – DFID – UK, Task Force on the implementation of the report of the committee on Realignment and Rationalization of MDAs in Jigawa state.

Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Tahir, mni was the Permanent Secretary in charge of Administration and General Services in the office of the Head of Service from 2014 until his new appointment.
