COMMISSIONER WOMEN AFFAIRS AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Hajiya Ladi Ibrahim
Born in 1956 in Dansure town of Roni Local Government area, Hajiya Ladi Ibrahim was at the School of Nursing and the School of Midwifery in Kano from 1970 to 1975 as well as the University of Lagos in 1979 for Advanced Diploma in Community Health.
Having worked in many Health institutions in former Kano state, Hajiya Ladi rose to the position of Director Child Development in Jigawa state, appointed as Sole Administrator of Auyo Local Government Council and later held the position of Permanent Secretary in the Ministries of Health, Special Duties, and the Directorate of Emergency Relief and Disaster Management from 2000 to 2007.
The new commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Welfare was from 2008 to 2010 the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Empowerment.
